Juvenile Little Blue Herons

These were taken in early November at the Savannas Recreation Area, which is located in St. Lucie County in Florida. The Herons were feeding on some very small prey that I was unable to identify. (maybe small minnows or brine shrimp.)

Very well executed set. The downloads are really sharp. These guys look like they were very energetic. Bet it was a challenge!

Thanks very much for the kind words Carol. In talking with the supervisor he mentioned area that was somewhat more secluded and that was a big help!

Beautiful pictures! Around here (N.Alabama), these birds are called egrets. The green color on their heads are mating colors that fade in the late summer. Which ever they are, you've taken some great pictures.
