I walked outside several days ago and kept hearing a sound similar to that made when snow or ice is melting from a tree and hitting the ground, and finally realized that a very large flock of Waxwings were feeding on the berries from the tree and the noise came from the many berries hitting the ground. Looked up and saw a beautiful sight!
