On our way to Utah in October of this year we passed this formation just west of the Blue Mesa Lake, somewhere west of Gunnison. These shots are SOOC, Sony A6000 w/kit 16-50mm lens. I believe the settings were manual, F9, 1/400sec, ISO 100.
Super images cucharared. And #1 is a prize winner in my book.
Tbell7D, Photog21 and colo43 - Thanks for the visit and nice comments.

love that 16mm shot.
Wow, you resurrected an old one. I now also have a Sony a77ii I got secondhand for the two long A-mount lenses I already had for the a6000 (when a compatibility problem showed up). I have added a Sigma 30mm 1.4 lens for the a6000 (that is the absolute best lens I have for it). And finally in November, I went bonkers and got the RX10iv. Guess I'm a Sony freak but once you learn the menu system the others are easy-peasy. But, the mad-money hide away funds are depleted so it'll be awhile before anything new shows up - besides, I've got way more that I need to take good photos. Up to me to use them properly now.
I sincerely thank you for the look, but am curious - how did you find this old post?

Even after years of Uhh, people show up I have never seen. When they do, especially in a response to an image I post, I get curious and sometimes check their posted photos. Get a better feel for who it is. Sometimes very rewarding, as in your case. There’s no shortage of folks who would have you think they know it all, but post few or no samples of their own, and often pretty poor ones at that. Comments have a different meaning, depending on who makes them.
Thank you very much. Now, since I'm sometimes not entirely "appreciative" of some stuff I'll be very embarrassed if this is one of those cases. Hope not, especially since you seem very aware photographically.

Well, I looked through your stuff and 1) you're a lot better photographer than I, 2) you get around to a ton more places than I, and 3) with the exception of not usually liking B&W when color is dominate in the location, and not much abstraction is to my liking...
That all said, your photos are exemplary. I looked at a lot of them the first time around and liked them but didn't comment. I really liked the fruit trees in the fog you recently posted and thought I'd commented but didn't see it. Anyway, I don't think I was crass enough to comment negatively on any of your stuff. Hope not.
