I'll take a turn at Orion Nebula & NGC 253 Sculptor Galaxy

We went to the Mountain last night and the weather was perfect.
No dew and no wind, my auto guiding was right-on and the Polar Alignment too was perfect.
I was able to get nice round Stars and a decent focus.
I should have used the Focus Mask but that's another lesson.
Meade 8" SCT, Nikon D800E, Orion Star Shoot II Autoguider w/Orion 70-279mm Guide scope.
#1 Orion Nebula shot at 90 sec, ISO 800, f/10, 2000mm
They looked so good in the Capture Program I shoot at 90 sec and should shoot at 180 sec.
#2 NGC 253 Sculptor Galaxy shot at 300 sec, ISO 800, f/10, 2000mm
Again test shot looked good at 300 sec and I should have doubled that.

Both are extremely nice , I love the sculptor though, I have not yet tried imaging this subject yet, I don't think.

Hi Matthew thank you very much. The mountain is only 1 hr away and an elevation of 4500 ft.
The NGC 253 Sculptor Galaxy is really faint and in the Constellation Sculptor.
It was a lot of fun to get the exposure right. I shot at 300 sec ISO 800.
I should have used ISO 1600 with the scope being f/10. It's all a learning curve.

The Trapezium is always the hardest to bring to bare without blowing it out.
Thanks to the new slider in Lightroom called Dehaze under Effects.
