It does seem to be forming a pattern of extreme embellishment at the very least......

Ben Carson proves, with his recent remarks, that he should keep his mouth shut. His stories seem to be "evolving."

Would I v**e for a man who took a knife to his friend, now his close relative and took a hammer to his mother????? Would you?

Well...you v**ed for a community organizer...twice! So it would be foolish to put limits on what you would do.

We do not have to repeat our mistakes.

By fibbing, BC has brought unwelcome attention to himself.

it's so funny, one cannot question Ben Carson's veracity without Obama being mentioned... as some sort of defense for lying?!?

don't worry... I think he decided against running for a third term.

One can certainly question Carson's veracity. The demagoguing starts when one states that his lies disqualify him from running for president without applying that same standard to others.

Lies have never disqualified a politician from running... bad lies will make him lose.

If the news media workers had thoroughly vetted BHO, then we may suppose his evasion of accounting for factual materials instead of leveling with the people would soon enough have exposed him as unworthy for higher office.

BHO (AKA Barry Soetero) has never been fully candid with the American people about his past activity, his upbringing, and his true origin. He has cleverly and diligently covered his tracks.

BC lacks the ambition and the intellectual resources to conduct a similar evasion. The presented facts thus have tripped him up, and shown him as a fibber.

BC appears intellectually stunted even though intelligent.

They can't win e******ns with ideas, so demonizing is all they have.

I could be wrong but Dr. Ben Carson has put himself in an interesting position. It seems are are at least two possibilities:

1. We believe what he has claimed in his autobiography: violent past with pathologic behavior or

2. We do not believe him and then question everything he claims.

I do not see how he come out a winner in either scenario. Am I missing something?

Not really, but an extension of your logic takes the shape of a question: How can we believe anything an individual says after we catch him fabricating or embellishing events or facts in his past?

Then the question of character and values naturally arises.

After all, as a rule, religion prohibits murder, stealing, and lying. How does Mr. Carson square his fabulist approach to his past with his professed religious affiliation?

In short, Mr. Carson appears to suffer from either duality or hypocrisy (or both).

Fairy tales aim at liars -- for example, Pinocchio. Maybe Mr. Carson skipped those boyhood lessons.

Mr. Carson has put his candidacy in jeopardy for his inventions in his autobiography, yet he did it to himself. He should stop blaming others for his self-brought misfortune. He simply got caught with his pants down.

Behavior matters.

somehow the violent past that he overcame by his own will and determination(with the help of God) plays into the narrative of the wingnuts on the right.

...I mean stabbing a kid in the buckle one week, the next week being a model ROTC student, and on saturday a full-scholarship to West Point.

That leaves the summer where Ben interned as an archeologist (specializing in ancient food storage technologies) and then later where he led a one-day clinic on "How not to be part of a Mass Murder".

Actually he has been shown to be ignorant in many important areas. Is he an ignorant person? Probably not. Is he ignorant of many things one should know if they are going to be president? Absolutely. If you want to try to make this about me and my intelligence, it would probably make sense, if I were running for an important position.
If I try to spell ignorant , ignnorant, as you did, my spell checker has a fit. Do you have yours turned off?
I'm not picking on your spelling, just curious how it happened.
