Why is it that every time I go to the ebay site, I have to sign in? Hold on there; don't tell me I have to check that little box to stay signed in. It's already checked, yet I have to sign in every time I go there.

If your cookies don't get saved, then you have to sign in every time. Do you have a browser extension that deletes cookies?

A browser setting to delete cookie for ebay on every exit.

to check that....keep two browsers open...go to ebay..sign in.

Open another browser WHILE KEEPING THE OTHER BROWSER OPEN...if you get in without signing in...that's what it is...go to your "options" for security in your browser.

Problem solved. I typed in ebay.com, and went straight to my page on ebay. Here's what the problem was. I had an icon on my desktop that took me to the ebay sign-in page. Naturally, if I go to the sign-in page, I will have to sign-in. Duh! I corrected that path, so now it works fine.

If you hadn't made me think (I usually save that for even-numbered days.), I wouldn't have been able to solve this mystery.

Thanks!

Thanks,

I used that technique to fix my continual problem of having to sign in each time I launched my email handler. I've been fighting that for several years now. Who knew I'd find the answer on a photography blog.

Thanks Jerry,

But if I remember correctly, for the question of "What's the Meaning of Life?" the answer is "42".

(From the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy".)

I am completely sick of sites that require a PASSWORD.Given a choice,I will always use the one that does not require a password. That goes double for PayPal,the biggest pain in the butt of all.

I wouldnt be so sure...I get at least 2 paypal spams a week...asking me for personal info to correct "a mistake in your account"...and wanting to "verify" my paypal password....all they need is your email adresss...which they already have...and your password...and all hell breaks loose...

With all the hackers and their technology on the loose why would you want your password to be automatically displayed?
If your lap top gets stolen or lost, BINGO you may be in for a surprise when someone accesses your accounts.
Same password for everything? It makes things simpler for you...and anyone else that hacked into it.
