Bodie was made for HDR, or is it HDR was made for Bodie.
Wouldn't it be awesome to photo it in winter with it covered on snow? Unfortunately, a snow machine is the only way in.
I understand a park ranger spends the winter there. Can you imagine the isolation for 6 months?

Walt, there is an admission fee of $5 per adult, but it is well worth it! Thanks for liking the photos.

Thanks for the info Brent. If the Iowa Hawkeyes somehow end up winning the big 10 championship I'll be planning a trip to the rose bowl and I'll be taking some side photography jaunts along with it.

Oh my gosh!! What wonderful subject matter and your shots are fabulous. The HDR really brings out the colors and texture. Thanks for sharing. Wish I lived closer.

A great set Brent but I have to say there's something about #2 especially with the dark clouds that really adds to the desolate sense of the town. Nice shootin'.

Beautiful pictures. I love the way HDR brings out the crispness and color.

Thanks so much bobburk3. It's a real difficult delima of not pushing the limits to far with HDR. I appreciate your comments.

ImageCreator, you suggest and interesting question. Your vision of HDR and the snow is a good one. It would be tough to be isolated there for 6 months in the cold too. Thanks fo visiting this thread.
