I just got back from Bodie. For all you UHH shooters, this place is fantastic and has unlimited photo potential. I happened to hit it on a day with stormy clouds in the sky.

Get a few tumbleweeds moving down mainstreet and I'd truly feel abandoned. The sky added some drama to the desolation. Well done Brent.

Nice series Brent, as usual.
That place does indeed look like photo paradise.

Hi Brent. Love the photos. I'm having a hard time picking a favorite but I'm leaning toward #4. I've seen pictures of Bodie before and it looks like there's a photo op everywhere you point a camera. Is the town just wide open to anyone who wanders in or is it some kind of park with an admission fee?

A great set Brent but I have to say there's something about #2 especially with the dark clouds that really adds to the desolate sense of the town. Nice shootin'.

Terrific captures there. I could even imagine that as a photographer's vacation spot.

Very nice set Brent! The construction of the buildings appears to be much better than most of that era. Thanks for showing.

Walt, there is an admission fee of $5 per adult, but it is well worth it! Thanks for liking the photos.

Thank you Tom. I purposely composed that composition to suck the viewer's eye deep into the photo. Kind of a trick, but I think it works well!
