I only got to see one of the ships this time around & I am not sure which it is......?
I am just glad to get pics of one of them. They were heading down river to Charleston, WV where they will be docked for a week or so. :D

I have come to the conclusion and I am pretty sure the one I saw today is the Pinta. ;)

Pretty little ship. Are they tourist ships? Have they a purpose other than to look nice?

The Nina is the most historically accurate replica of a Columbus ship ever built.
They hold tours where they port - it's pretty cool to see one. Amazing these lil' things crossed the oceans back in the day.

Pretty nice Stephie, I bet it was a thrill seeing this go by. Good thing those little ships didn't run into a hurricane on their crossing. I doubt they would have held up.

Thankyou for the info, Stephie. I hadn't heard they had made replicas of the ships.

Thanks James! It was awesome to see it. I always thought they were bigger until I saw them. Quite a shock! :)

Thanks for the link. I've become interested in wooden ships as my wife's outfit owns two Tall Ships that takes kids (14-25) on training trips up and down the coast from Victoria up to Alaska. I'll send the Nina link as well as your photos to her. She'll be delighted.

These ships came through Memphis TN last year on the Mississippi river but I was working 12hr days at the time and did not get to drive over there. It is about 70 miles from me and probably the only chance I would have had to see them. Glad you got to see some of them.
