Yep, took me to work and brought me back, only to come home and be hated by our own countryman. Today's veterans enjoy all sorts of services and gratification. Kinda stinks, and that's why I don't donate to any of there causes. Sorry just a little bitter.

right there with you. Got spit on as I exited the gate at McGuire. 6 months later almost the same at a Local VFW when I tried to join. Was told,"your no vet", we won our war.
Said screw them ever since. 66-70.

Yeah, I got treated that way too, but it is not the fault of these guys today. When we were getting spat on, most of these kids (and to me, they ARE kids), were KIDS, if they were alive at all. I went into the Air Force Jan. 1955, got out Sept. 1967. Lets see, Viet Nam, Dec. -Jan 1965-1966 TDY. Hmmmm.... 2015-1965, well, whada know, 50 GD years! Yep. The guys in today weren't even a gleam in their old mans eye. Don't blame them for the idiots of our day. They got their own to deal with. Unfortunately, we got to deal with the same damned idiots these kids got to deal with.
No, don't blame them.

Was at a gun show this weekend and saw a gentleman wearing a Chosen Frozen cap and in a wheelchair. I asked him if he was at the Chosen and answered yes - "it was 41 below and and I lost the use of my legs and haven't walked since then." I thanked him for his service and felt honored by talking to him.

You had a good experience, Korean vets a hard to come by. From what I've read of the debacle it was a hell of a place and time.
