We were in Jasper a couple of weeks ago and even though it rained part of the time it was still gorgeous. Took a phtographers tour to Ghost Island in Maligne lake. Even though it was stormy got some great shots. They also provided wine and cheese for the trip back to the lodge. Attached a photo from there

Yoho and Kootenay National Parks. Hope I spelled the second one correctly.

A little out of the way, but Fort Steele is kind of interesting if you like history. Lots of old buildings and at least during the summer people in period costumes running the printing press, bakery, blacksmith shop etc...

..... and dressed for their roles, as well is totally IN their roles. Any question you might ask them are answered according to the role their in - it is impossible to find out any of their real information, but it is a lot of fun if you can go along with it. If the Clydesdales are still there, they are beautifully paired and very photogenic!

Spent 4 weeks in Glacier and Waterton a couple of years ago and didn't have time to see a fraction of the photo ops. For a "quick and dirty" survey of the park, drive across the Going to the Sun Highway. Better yet, spend your extra time driving the Icefields Parkway between Banff and Jasper and then plan a longer trip to Glacier in the future.
