Just the previous day an osprey had landed on the very same limb and stayed for about ten minutes, and I could hardly see it, as it was further back in the foliage. The next day we heard some Eagles calling from that area so I immediately looked on that same limb, saw absolutely nothing and was about to look elsewhere when I thought that I saw the limb move slightly, and sure enough it slowly made it's appearance, and you know the rest of the story! Thank you so much Merry for taking the time to look and your very kind words and yes, it was exciting. It happened so suddenly all I had time to do was grab the camera, ease out the sunroom door and start clicking--no time for monopod or tripod, just trying to hold the camera with the 150 to 600 lens as steady as I could. After a while my neck hurt and my arm was almost numb, and wouldn't you know ,when I finally lowered it just for a minute's rest, it flew! Take care!

We have a little miniature bird mike, about the diameter of a pencil hanging outside one of our sunroom windows and I could hear the Eagles calling becoming louder as they neared our house. Grabbed the camera with the long lens attached, thank goodness, and eased outside! Thanks again and take care!

Those are great shots SwampCork. I'd love to get some eagle shots...just can't get down to the James to do so. You've done well with these! Love that second one.
