Was trying out a different lens and took this shot to check detail capabilities. The colors of the stones and in the water are from bright morning sunlight reflected under the tree canopy. My eye did not see these colors, the camera did. Minor pp, brightness, contrast, touch of sharpening.

Some nice colors, but it lacks a center of interest. Also, the greenery in lower right corner is distracting.

I really like the general photo, but it would have been better without the "grass/weed" that is out of focus in the lower right. Without that distraction it could serve as a background replacement for the right subject. I sometimes go out to get shots like this myself.

I love it! (and if it would have had a little water snake poking it's head out of the murky water, it would be sensational! )
