Glad you were on the "other track" :D

Here's two shots of the same bridge in sunlight. Certainly nowhere near as dramatic as Stinson222's shot.

Nice Shots,, DrWilk,, thanks for sharing,
here are a few more from that trip,,
as you can see, ,being foggy and dark, ,on a moving train, makes for tough shooting conditions, ,hard to get fast enough shutter to keep the blur away, ,I guess I should have asked the Engineer to slow down, ,lol
oh yes, and of course Bridal Veil Falls,, loved the view of that

Lovely shots. I've done that trip in the winter as well as spring and summer. It's not as much fun. Windows completely frosted and just a woodstove in the cars for heat.

Mysterious, you can almost hear the old coal train chugging across that bridge.

Okay, if Donrent says something good about anything, it must be good. I agree with him. It is very nice. I like how the bridge just seems to emerge from the fog. Would hate to be on the bridge though... seems rather unsafe. :-) Cheers.

I like how it gradually disappears into that fog.

That is an awesome photo, especially how the bridge disappears into the fog. Scary!

When the weather is bad, I tend to turn off the camera. Glad you didn't. Nice capture of a moment and place.
