Thank you for your reply. I called this center 5 minutes ago and asked them if they can fix Nicon D750, they can not because they are not trained, maybe later.

I understand that this company is a Nikon authorized repair center, and WILL service all Nikon units, including direct import:

and that this guy also repairs and services Nikon lenses:

But you need to check them out yourself in case my info is out of date.

It is not easy to make right choice, unfortunately.

I have both sold & purchased equipment on Ebay, but only used. I shoot Canon. Personally, I would not choose to buy new from any other than an authorized Canon dealer.

Good luck making your choice,
Mark

The "right" choice is the one you make. The only requirements for making the "right" one are your preferences, concerns, and possible regrets. It appears you are exploring those by using UHH for advise & feedback.

Trust yourself.

Mark :)

Does anybody have expirience buying camera in this store?

What do you know or think about their 1 year warranty?
Well, if your serious about considering a grey market camera, this might be a better option; http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nikon-D750-Digital-SLR-DSLR-Camera-Body-3-Year-Warranty-NEW-/141430035060?hash=item20ede31274 They also have a 30 day return policy, as long as you realize upfront that you are on the hook for shipping both ways if you decide to return it, which really isn't unfair. Buying grey market is a personal choice. It depends on faith on the quality of the camera itself. Are you a "heavy user" prone to wearing things out in short order? If so, you better have the full warranty. If you are a light to moderate user, then my advice as it applies to ALL electronics is to check it out thoroughly when new and if there are no issues at the get go, it is HIGHLY PROBABLE it will last beyond the warranty period (the manufacturer's themselves have that pretty much figured out already). $1600 is a lot of money to spend, so one needs to think about it carefully. That said, saving $400 of retail or $260 off a refurb with limited warranty is nothing to sneeze at either. While I don't know much about the 3yr warranty plan except that it states coverage details are the same as the manufacturer's with no copay for parts AND/OR labor "sounds" pretty good. Two additional thoughts to consider are; #1. Nikon not servicing grey market cameras which might be an issue after your warranty plan expires. However, consider; #2. By the time the warranty ends the camera model will be 4 years old and will have $260-$400 less depreciation then it would otherwise. By that time a used D750 is a used D750, regardless of how you bought it.

I'd check to see if they are an authorized Nikon dealer. B & H lists the camera for $1996.95. They usually have very competitive prices and will price match, but not for grey market vs. US. They are offering it as a very cheap price - but many other Ebay sellers are offering the D750 for about $1550 as well.

Good luck,
Mark

They are NOT an authorized Nikon dealer.
Here's a list of authorized dealers:

Of course they aren't an "authorized" Nikon dealer. If they were they wouldn't and couldn't be selling "grey market" Nikons. I am neither "promoting" or "knocking" this dealer. Rather I've tried to explain what it is to buy "grey market" and the "trade offs" plus and minus. I would strongly suggest you do a little work on this if you NEED to save some money. You are listed as being from Brooklyn, AS IS the seller, why not try finding out more about it directly? I would. By the way, it's been a long time, 45+ years since I spent time in Brooklyn, my best friend was from there. I'm sure it's changed drastically.

I been buying on ebay for 12 years, $5,000 a for 5.
Always look at feedback less then 100 at 90% don't buy.
Pay by Paypal only. Why they will back you up.
I've bought about every thing you can think of on ebay and happy with it.
Cameras and gear yes. Look at my feedback otxjcom is my ID.
If you like the camera and like the price go for it.

Thanks for your reply and advice. Did you buy used or new gray market cameras?

It's unfortunate but ebay has become a dumping ground for all sorts of scams so I never trust anything they offer.

I'm not sure it is a "dumping ground". Craig's list is much worse. One does need to be selective on Ebay. The evaluations by former purchasers/sellers is very helpful. Also, Ebay's customer service is excellent and easily contacted. Paying/receiving funds via a Paypal account is secure, providing the funds are checked directly by logging onto your account. Do not use "links" via email for receiving money for a sale. They can be imitated. I've been fooled and scammed. Only once!!

Good comments. I've not even been on a Craig's list.
When I buy it's from B&H or Amazon. Never a glitch with them.
