I was admiring the design..one of the cutest I've seen.

Donna, Ellen and I were talking about out conversation with you about the house, and remembered that our nephew's family was from Alabama originally, so the design really may have come from there. I have intended to replace the nails that attach the roof to the house with small removable screws which have little circular gaskets under the heads. That should make it much easier to clean out. Thanks again and take care, Corky

Very nice set, love the colors of the bird and the interesting house. I hope that some house-cleaning will persuade new tenants to nest there soon.

So do I, Sirius one, and thanks for looking and very glad you like!

Beautiful shots, Corky! Hope the old nest and all the ants are gone now in case another perspective buyer comes along!

Yes Sue, the house was cleaned, renovated, and moved to a more suitable location the next day, but has remained vacant so far. May have to lower the rent or relocate it again! thanks for looking and very glad you liked. Take care!

Thanks much, Corky, and I'm sorry I've had you mixed up with Ellen. Seems I'm always doing that these days. I'll just blame it on the heat. :-D

This home inspection occurred in the spring and I happen to have my camera with me while looking at some hanging baskets. Noticed some movement and quickly took the shots of this Prothonotary Warbler home looking. Unfortunately she left without signing a contract. I cannot really blame her, because when I later checked I found the old nest had not been removed, and also ants had taken up residence, but fortunately she did nest next door.

Not a problem. Donna, and Ellen did write the initial reply to you. We were both by the computer at that time, so she replied. She also replies any time Angela puts anything on about Zachary. When I see a post by Angela about Zachary, I always let her know, because she wouldn't miss Zackary for anything, but about 95% of the time it's me, but also could be Ellen--doesn't matter! Thanks!

Very glad you liked Geoff, and thanks for looking. I don't really know what their reason was, could have been that they just wanted a empty house to start from. The birdhouse does not allow easy access for cleaning, so took a bent wire and started cleaning it out through the entrance hole and small ants we going everywhere! After cleaning I moved it to another location, so hopefully the ants will not use it again, and the birds will. Take care!

Great to hear from you Doc, and so glad that you liked. Sounds like you are having a productive and busy summer so far. Still trying to get some dragonflies captures together to post, but after seeing some recent postings, afraid rocks will be thrown at them! Also recently was able to capture some shots of a immature Barred Owl and also a few of an adult. Took way to many shots and must try to sort through! Don't know how I ever had time to work! Thanks again and take care!

I really doubt that Corky. I enjoy your dragons. I can't wait to see the owls. I shot some down in central Florida on the James River from a moving boat at about 50 yards. Needless to say they were throw-aways.
