I'm beginning to agree with Obama

I'm beginning to agree with Obama and the other liberals that what we need are more gun laws.

Reported on CNN this AM:

A young woman walking on a San Francisco pier with her father in was shot and k**led a few days ago by an i*****l a***n that had been deported 5times. (I see now that Trump was obviously wrong about the i******s).

One gang member picked up in Chicago has been arrested 45 times. (I think he more than likely was a good honest citizen who was falsely accused of most of his offences).

Over the 4th of July weekend in Chicago 7 k**led and 40wounded in gun violence

Police over the 4th of July weekend confiscated one illegal gun per hour (I'm not exactly sure what constitutes an illegal gun).Average sentence in Chicago for possession of an illegal firearm is about12 months which a person usually gets out on good behavior in six. (I know this severe sentence just scares the pants off the gang members who seem to be the biggest offenders).

After doing my due diligence I have come to the conclusion that more gun laws would have eliminated every one of these problems. I just don't know why the Republicans can't see what Obama and other liberals seem know for sure. Disarming the public is the only answer; period. But now we need more laws to get the dishonest folks to voluntarily turn in their guns!

We have gun laws. The unlawful do not pay any attention to them.

New legislation is needed to put the teeth back into the existing laws before any further restrictions should be added.

It is a fact that in areas were firearms ownership is considered an earned privilege, there are fewer incidences where firearms are an active component of the crimes.

Responsible gun owners are not the problem there needs to be regulations in place to determine if a person has earned the privilege to have firearms.

Last year, police in Chicago took around 7,000 illegal guns off the streets.

It's clear that Obama should personally visit the gang bangers at night, in Chicago, to sell them on his gun control program. There is no doubt that his plan will work as good as the War On Drugs and the War on Poverty.

Funny thing is:

not one legal gun owner was involved.

SCOTUS says it's a right, not a privilege. So does the constitution.

Therein lies the problem. Legislation that puts in place stringent background checks and a national database with all legal firearms registered would eliminate a lot of issues. Someone has a gun...the serial number is checked by mobile connection if it is legit then no problem if it is not then both gun and "owner" are hauled in.

Indeed. During Obama's trip to the inner city at night, he may announce to the media: "if I had a son, he would look like this gangbanger".

No. To the authors of the phrase, it meant "working as designed, efficient." Sort of like that brand of clock, "regulator."
A well-regulated m*****a is a m*****a that functions well.
