Well... I am 100% for a College education.... but there are times when stupid dumb
I Graduaged from HS in May of 1957, went to Florida in July of 1957, My cousin asked If I wanted a job... SURE WHY NOT... on Aug 2, 1957 I took a job with RCA (NASA CONTRACTOR) Processing 70mm film on automatic Film Processing Machine.. Moved up the next year and in June 1961 was promoted to 2nd Shift Leader, worked my way up became 1st Shift Manager and then became Department Manager in 1966. Went to Federal Electric in Nov. 1966 as 2nd shift manager and in 1970 became department manager with 23 men and 3 women in the Dept.... The Department had well over 6 million in specialized Equipment.

In November of 1976 FEC's contract was over with the end of the Apollo/Soyuz Mission... Came back to Illinois and took a job in Briggs Inc. Manufacturer of Vitreous China (Toilets/sinks/etc) In one year was manager of the Q&A department and worked there 24 years in that position...

Company closed down in 1999 and I went to work at Quebecor Printing where I stayed until 2005 when I retired.... Comfortably I might say..

NOW.. not bragging..Just indicating how Luck and HARD work can be useful in unforeseen ways....


SIDE NOTE: Too bad Keenan is not around so he could call me a liar once again...LOL....It never ceases to amaze me at people who have absolutely NO idea of a persons background/circumstances and/or work history can make the comments he did.
