It could have happened with a new body, or a used body as well. The important takeaway here, is that the warranty is golden. And BTW, I asked about the 90 days, 20 of which was spent at their location, and they said that unofficially if I had a problem with it, they would take care of it at their discretion. Kudos to Nikon service in Melville.

I bought my DX 18-140 refurb from Nikon and very satisfied with it.
For cameras typically saves a few hundred dollars. But if I go new bundled, and assuming the lens is what I want, then the savings kind of offset.

Thank you. 28-300 might well be the third lens I will buy. On the D7000 I can hardly go beyond ISO 3200. Question is with such a good ISO performance on the d750, is there still a need for f2.8?

All lenses have a sweet spot and it is never f2.8. It would likely be between f5.6 and f8. f2.8 is good for Bokeh when reasonably close to objective. With ISO's so high and clean now, I rarely go below f5.6. Since I do landscape and animals, zoom and telephoto lenses blur out the back ground adequately to isolate the objective. See Avatar shot with 70-200 f2.8 30 feet away. Actual f8 @ 125 sec at about 100 mm maybe slightly over

Megan, it is on certain lenses - the Nikon 200 F2, the 300 and 400 F2.8. These lenses show no improvement, other than extra depth of field, when stopping down to F8. They are specifically engineered that way. I can say the same for the 500 F4 and the 600 F4 - they do not improve when you stop down.

Lab tests would say otherwise but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The Nikon 200 mm f2 is a $5000 lens, the Nikon 500 mm f4 $8300 and the 6000 mm a $10,000 lens. Few can afford these much less carry them around without a sherpa.

BTW it's mega nephron. Kidney doctor. Greek for big kidney😀

Sony A7Rii or Sony A7ii. I just sold my Nikon D810 and am moving to mirrorless. Since I really don't want the huge files, the A7ii and a A6000 are my choices for a FF and CS...

With adapters you can use your Nikon glass. Glass for the Sony's are way cheaper. You can get a tack sharp Sigma 60mm for $199. A Sony 70-200 is $1498.00. For 5k, you could outfit yourself pretty good. Also you can use the older Nikon legacy lens, AI & AIS, which you can pick up for a real reasonable price. I have 6 of them and have less than $450.00 in them.

The focusing peeking on the Sony's are awesome. The A7ii has 5 axis stabilization.

Give it some thought.

Great wife! I just purchased the Nikon 7200 and love it! Still learning all its unique features.
