Whatever turns up on my walks.
Yesterday went to a Busker's Festival at Seaport Village in San Diego. They had a bunch of street performers doing their "acts" around the village.
You make me homesick. I lived in San Diego for many years, actually in Encinitas. My, all the people in your photos are so tan. I used to have a tan, too. Now I have lived in Oregon for over for thirty years. You wouldn't believe how white a human being can get so white.
But it's very lovely here, with forests, streams, lakes, and rain nine months out of the year. You have to learn how to keep your camera dry if you're going to be a photographer here, and find lots of things to shoot indoors.
Before I lived in San Diego, I used to pretend I was rich and vacation every year at the Hotel Del Coronado. It's one of my favorite spots in the whole world.
I envy you.
Our camera club had a photo walk Saturday morning. We were dispatched with a map to take pictures of city art. They provided a brochure the city puts out with a map of what is where.
Our assignment is to post process what we got to make it very different. We're going to make a little competition of it.
Here's my first effort. The fish is from a huge sign...about twenty feet long...hanging upside down in an alley. I have no idea what that is about. The metal sculpture is made from barbed wire and is a miner panning for gold. The creek is near my house...a shot I took in the fall.
Plus I've been playing with my new 150-500mm Sigma.
