A Common Grackle is a bird long awaited for as to us it is a harbinger of spring. A sign that spring is indeed coming. this year this species first showed up in Bird Alley just a couple of days ago on the first day of spring! This photo was taken yesterday.
A little favourite bird visitor to our bird feeders is the Red-breasted Nuthatch. We haven't seen much of this species all winter but it showed up in Bird Alley on the last day of winter. Welcome little bird! Soon it will be butterfly season and as a reminder of this season here is a beautiful White Admiral butterfly to enjoy viewing.!

Day 82 - close ups of critters
These were taken a last week.
I am on Bed rest for a couple of days, so the Dr, Stated.
I took that and figured it was a suggestion, kind of like the "best if sold by" that you see on products in the store.
This being day 83, must mean we only have a mere 282 day's left of this amazing challenge and learning opportunity!
If I can sneak out for I while I will see about getting some posted of today's challenge!

Dear Judy Juul:
Nanny and Sweetie are beautiful! Aren't they perfect! And these photos could have fit in with yesterday's challenge too-contrasting colors.
All the best,

Welcome to Day 82 :) .. Lately everybody has been posting a lot of closeups of flowers ..so I thought today we would do some closeups of critters. 2 legged, 4 legged, 8 legged .. makes no difference. They can be an accidental capture of flying critters ...I seem to get a lot of those... or pet portraits.. if it's a non-human animal and it finds it way in front of the camera ... let's see it.. up close and personal.
Here are a few examples to get us started.
Oh number 2 is perfect..love it
