Please Stay safe. I have seen the shots of all the flooding and devastation on the news. I feel for all those who have lost everything and the lives that have been lost.

Claremore firefighter dies while rescuing flood victims

is that a twister in the bridge picture. that is an awesome photo..

Thanks.... Probably, although I didn't notice it at the time.... Lot of cell rotation going on... The only thing that impresses me more than Mother Nature in all her ferocity & magnificence is the indomitable nature of the human spirit... from all the 'just folks' who faced tragedies of epic proportions (Moore, OK. comes to mind) to that firefighter. Reminds me of one of my favorite poems - Invictus by William Ernest Henley.....

Very nice shots, ajohnston. If your neighbor is measuring his boat in cubits, I suggest you pair up and climb aboard!

Such a lot of water. I hope you are safe from flooding. Too bad it can't be wished away to the drought areas.

Thanks... We are ok.... We actually had higher flood levels back in 84 but I can't recall a sustained event of this sort in my lifetime... The dam at lake Texoma looks like a massive waterfall & even the spillway at local Whiterock lake here in Dallas is a massive torrential flow....

Dessert can not cope with that and very few other places included. First 5 months is 5-6 times our annual precip.

Guess we are all getting hit... The flash flooding there can really be deadly.... Stay safe.....

Good shots, ajohnston3! I feel so bad for you folks in Texas! We're seeing some horrible things on tv from your state! Maybe your neighbor has the right idea! Is his name Noah???
