I think that going there in the winter or when it is Snowing it makes it feel more like a Ghost Town.Much better without all the people in your way like it is in the summer. Less people better photos.

Its open now, but it was closed then on the park side.
Did you see the photo of the rock they removed while I was on the Tioga? Crazy

I posted this panorama here on UHH last year of the view looking west coming out of Bodie --- it was taken at the point where the pavement begins.

Absolutely!!! It's always different, always great and fantastic in the Sierra's no matter the season. Seems there is always something wonderful to see around every bend and turn in the road no matter where you go.

I just love it and would be there right now if I didn't have something else to do at the moment.

I just need to focus on going in the next week or two and make it happen. Its been on my mind and all I need to do is to decide on going, find a room some place, and go.

PM me when you're coming next and we'll explore and shoot together. I live in Sparks just next to Reno.

I've been in Bodie, as they've unloaded a bus or two of tourists. It can get busy there. I sure do miss climbing the big walls in Yosemite and Tuolumne Meadows.

Thanks so much. I wish I had gotten to Yosemite a few weeks earlier.

The photos were great, but a little bit more snow may have been nice.

I guess we always want a little more something.. Haa.

Good to know.
I'll put Tuolumne Meadows on my list for my next visit.
