I spent the afternoon on the South Bank and took a few long exposures. This is the Millennium Bridge over the Thames with St Paul's cathedral in the background. I decided I liked this in B&W. Try the download if you can.

interesting shot....on download its neat how you can see the people on the bridge....where they have been and where they are....I for one would love to see a photo where the bridge stands out in the shot ....looks like a very interesting structure....Tom

Thanks for commenting Tom. One of the attractions for me of long exposures is seeing people "disappear" or becoming spectral images.

neat shot. Dl'd it and the detail is very good. Played with it in LR5 a bit to even out exposures and contrasts. not at all sure I improved it any. ;)

What caused the shadow/vignette on the left side?

Excellent choice to go with the B&W

This is very good. The download is sharp where it needs to be and I too like the way the people come and go.

I don't know the cause of the shadow on the left. It may be due to the combination of filters I used - a 10 stop ND plus a 3 stop soft grad. I really am experimenting with this type of thing. Thanks for your comments.

if you weren't using a hood, my guess is that is shadow from the rims of the stacked filters. Also this little irregularities I was playing with were most probably do to slight disparities between the filters at various points.

...but it still remains a very nce shot!!!!

Thanks Andrea, pleased you like it. The exposure was 20 seconds so you can see who was standing still or moving.

Beautiful. If you don't mind I'd love seeing the color version. Can you post it? Thanks.
