Find it interesting that yesterday a poster who was in the "Photo Gallery" asking which of two photos did we like better was told they were in the wrong section. Today I see the post was moved to this section where it certainly doesn't belong according to set forth rules. I for one am going to post where I think it's the right section BUT if it's not please don't get you're undies in a bundle because I could care less about narcissistic attitudes---it isn't hurting me.......

What elevates these into bickering isn't a commentor directing his/her comments to the original poster...it's ALWAYS some self-appointed-forum-police telling another commenter how he/she should comment or not comment.

IF the OP had a problem with EW...then the OP is grown up enough to say it either in the thread or privately.

No need for bodyguards whining about the tone of others postings.

He does and mentioned my use of **** the other day, which was ironic here.

I am just learning how to adjust my photos using PSE 8.0 and how to change in camera and in PS. And trying to learn as much as possible in LR 4 Beta before it ends at the end of month. Any C&C welcomed as this is how I learn best, by hands on and that keeps me learning more. Thanks in advance for any and all help. Don't hold back as I learn best by being critiqued.

Sorry if there are dup's , these old fingers and eyes sometimes don't coincide with the key board.

Opinion: perhaps you have miss named the photos. The shots with more contrast are much better.

If you're referring to me , I don't know because you didn't post to who the comment was referring, I wasn't defending the OP but the ambiguity of the sections themselves. To those of us who have been here for a while it doesn't seem to be a problem but it must be to new comers because of it's frequency---almost on a daily basis. This is certainly no way to welcome new folks by those who should be setting the example. Referring someone to a new section should be seen as helpful NOT rude. I have seen people do it with tact and it is welcomed---that was my point and it's aimed at everyone, if the shoe fits wear it.....

Coco...
No..I wasn't and I really wasn't even referring to this thread.

I have no quarrel with you at all...and haven't had. :)

For the record, I agree...if someone isn't up on the proper section to post...let 'em know about it. :)

On the first one, I think you got them mixed up. The first one is the better of the two. On the tree picture, I think you went a little to far. The whites are blown out. But not bad for your PP work. Keep trying. It is fun to play. Do you look at a full screen shot of the picture when you get done working on them? I found if I do this all my mistakes show up.

Why thank you Erv, I appreciate your constructiveness, and your help in what I had overlooked. Contrast in that pic. nice to hear from those that want to help not complain.

Seems the constant bickering and wasting time and space over where photos should be posted is still continuing, so I offer a suggestion. If some of us do not, or will not, have the patience to allow the Administrator to do his job in moving photos to the correct section, why not send a private message to the rule violator if one is bothered so much by the slip up? This will spare the perpetrator any possible public embarrassment for the error and avoid any arguments for or against the rule enforcer. After all, the Administrator does not make posting errors a public spectacle, why should members? 8-)
