It is like that old saying..

"If a man speaks in the forest and there is no woman there to hear him, is he still wrong?"

Well of course he is!!!

But that is part of the fun of being in the forest! You can be as wrong as you want!

Maybe I'm missing something here, but in my experience women learn very early how to get what they want from a man. It always worked on me with all my ex-girlfriends and ex-wives! Not to mention my current (and final) wife!!

I just bought 2 new lenses and I managed to get them into the house & hidden while my husband was visiting his sister. I put the 24-70/2.8 on my camera right away. It is a "little" bigger than the 18-140 I had on the camera but I don't think he'll actually notice. BUT, how will I explain that big 70-200/2.8 when I pull it out & put it on the camera? He WILL notice that! Birthday present? Right now, I'm trying to talk him into a trip to Ireland! Then I can justify the lenses!!?!!!?

I'm glad to see that Lens GAS is gender neutral. While my using the argument that new glass makes me more "amorous" is usually met with a world class eye roll. Perhaps the male equivalent reaction could be more "satisfying."

Have a great trip to the Emerald Isle and post the best of them.
