You are not alone however my was a $1,200 Panasonic Plasma. I bought it while it was on sale. It did not go into service for about 2 months, new construction. The TV lasted 13 months almost to the day, Panasonic said it was no longer under warranty. I now buy my TV's from Walmart and the extended warranty at the same time.

I got my 50 in. LG Smart. from Costco, One year LG warranty plus one year more from Costco and I added on another 3 years from Costco for an additional $49.95. delivered to the door. As I said earlier if it lasts 5 years with out problems it will probably last another 10.

The man was bitching about a company that didn't deserve it. Just calling him out for being unfair.

I just hope the next time that you buy something and it's out of warranty by 1 minute, that you won't feel the same as the OP. A$$h0l&

You bought the TV in full knowledge of their warranty. They upheld the warranty that you agreed to. So why are they wrong? If it had been 15 months would you still complain? 24 months? What is the cutoff? Seems like it's 12 months, and you just don't like it. Too bad for you.

You are an a$$hole!

So will you complain when the new TV breaks down in month 61? It would be the same situation as your last TV, so would you still rail about how horrible the company was?

And the damn TV is still working? Are you for real? All your kvetching and it's stil working?

At month 61 he will have at least gotten 5 years use for his $1400 expenditure. That is a lot better that 13 months use and off to the scrapyard. Most companies will at least try to work with a customer and pick up some of the cost when something goes kaput that close after the warranty ended. I think it is referred to s good customer relations. Perhaps you have never heard of it.

All in all isn't a shame that things are so poorly built that you have to spend extra money to protect yourself?

Nagy: I never had a Canon product fail prematurely.

tschmath: Years ago I dropped my Canon EOS Rebel film camera in a stream and it continued to work for two years before giving up the ghost.

In 2006 I dropped my Canon 70-200 F2.8 IS lens four feet onto a hard tile floor. It still works perfectly today.
