The manual that came with your camera, if any, will get you started, there's a lot of on-line tutorial help available; YouTube for example, Barnes and Noble book stores have an extensive section on photography, and, the good folks here at UHH are always willing to help out a newbie.

Welcome to the Ugly Hedgehog Nana.....Fortunately to get a person started..... all the digital cameras I know about have an "AUTO" mode.....This mode takes very little photography experience or knowledge to use....and still results in very acceptable pictures.

Welcome to the forum. Pushing buttons is an excellent way to learn your camera. Libraries also have books on using digital cameras. Then there is the search feature at the top of this page.

Post some pictures and click on "store original" then ask for help. You will get it here, Nana. There are "you tube" instructions, local school classes, friends. Learn to be able to see your camera settings on your computer. David
