Hey Anna,

Is the Patuxent River Naval Air Station still operating, I was stationed there a couple of times?

Big time, area growing remarkably fast. We even have an Olive Garden now ;)

Cool, I'm glad to hear that, I always liked that area, very scenic and lots to do and see in the area!

They are a little pricey, but...I use the WACOM Cintiq 21UX monitor...OMG!!!!! You can't believe how much easier it is to get your editing done! There is no training yourself to coordinate hand-eye movement. The monitor IS the Wacom tablet. And, your mouse still works when you want to do what-ever tasks. And, since these monitors weren't made to appeal to the gaming crowd, they calibrate spot-on!

I love it here after 30+ years in busy Hampton Roads and now with a red light on practically every corner, yuk. Only thing I miss is fast food delivery. But the fresh Amish veggies make up for it :)

Yes, out of my range. I recently watched a demo of some guy using it very well. He could not live without it.

I love my trackball. You can find last year's model on ebay and save a bundle.

Another vote for the Logitech TrackBall ... wired or wireless. Used to have a nasty bout every so often with the carpal tunnel pain, and every since I got the trackball, I'm okey-dokey. Took a little to get used to moving my thumb or finger instead of my whole hand/arm, but I now find it much easier to zero in on fine detail than with the mouse.

WOW! I turn my back and look what they do! I don't know about the 12", maybe too small. But the 21" may have to be in my future. Thanks, Lenny...I had no idea!

I used a TrackBall awhile back, wasn't doing much PS back then. I may have to dig it out...I know it's somewhere! Thanks for the idea!

I've been using the same Targus Bluetooth AMB040 or something for the last 4 years. It recharges off the USB port and the batteries are AAA recharge-able. I had to re[place the batteries once.

I'm going with Carioca.
I have a Logitech mouse with a thumb-operated track ball, middle scroll wheel and the usual left and right mouse buttons.
No more running off the mouse pad, picking up and repositioning the mouse, and it stays put.
Once you get used to it you'll never go back to the merry-go-round. Mine has a cord, but it doesn't matter since the mouse is relatively stationary. Had mine for several years now with no problems.
Staples near my home doesn't carry track-ball meese, so the internet is probably the best source for one now.

I agree with Carioca. I bought my first track-ball mouse in 2006. Once I got used to it I never went back to the movable mice. The original logitec had a feature where you could remove the track ball for cleaning. The new ones don't, but I've never had a track ball problem with the new one.
There used to be a space between the right and left buttons that was removed on the newer models, which is undesirable. The buttons are too close together and easily clicked by mistake. I still don't want something that requires a mouse pad.
