I Hate Meeses to Pieces!

I have several mice (mouses, meeses). A few are wireles, Logitech, Microsoft, etc. and some wired. I don't like any of them. Am I weird? (Wrong question!) Am I being too particular?
Does anyone have a mouse (computer-type) you like especially? I've looked on Amazon, B&H, Fry's and many others for a mouse I thought would be really great for editing with CS5, to no avail.
Is there one, or more, I've missed? Do you have a favorite?
I've had a Wacom tablet for several years, going to dust it off and give it another chance, but not optimistic.

Try a pen tablet for the editing - I like the Wacom Bamboo.

I would suggest you start with your plan to dust off the tablet. I have a Bamboo and really enjoy using it but it took some time to make the transition. Some folks like to work it in mouse mode where the tablet is just a writing surface rather than being exactly mapped to the 4 corners of the screen. You can also choose to have the table work on just one monitor or the other instead of spanning the whole desktop (if you have dual monitors)

What exactly don't you like about your mice? Accuracy? Speed? Do they jump around unpredictably? Wrong size or feel?

When using the lasso tool, or the brush, I'm not able to be as accurate in my movements as I'd like to be. You're correct, I think, about going with the tablet, I'm thinking I didn't give it a proper chance...just quit too soon.
Thanks for the reply!

curious about you not getting good results from the pen and tablet. supposed to have way more control and precision than with a mouse.

Logitech laser G500, designed for gaming, best mouse I've ever used. Once you use one of these everything else is junk. I don't do games either, just have the gaming mouse

I am going to try a gaming laser mouse teamed with a gaming mouse pad. They are selling $40 mouse pads and all kinds of price point laser mice. The gamer's claim better accuracy when selecting targets and very fast click response. Also quick movement across dual monitors. From my research I believe you want to avoid the 'angle snapping type' mouse. Newer ones discontinued this bad feature. They claim a good pad is a must. These guys play for fame and fortune. I am not a gamer. I wouldn't even play Pac Man, too hard on my eyes.

After this discussion, I think I'll be giving it another try. When I first got it I just wasn't ready for the learning curve. It does deserve another chance.
Also, that gaming mouse sounds interesting, too. I'm going to look into that.
Thanks, everybody, for the great ideas!

If you are going to get adept with the tablet, you need to LOSE the mouse for a while, to force you to use that pen. In a short time, you may not want to return to the mouse.

Depends on the computer. For a desktop I prefer the old-fashioned mouse, the one that is attached. The wireless didn't do it for me. For the laptop, I got used to the touchpad after I disconnected the built-in stuff that comes with it like enlarging the screen etc, those things would always happen accidentally and I got tired of some program telling me what was better.
