Here a few shots of the snow I woke up to this morning. As you can see by the ruler, it was about 20 inches on level areas, drifts were much more. But at least we didn't get the 3 feet they were predicting!!

you guys got clobbered. We here in New Jersey did not get nearly that much snow. Hope everything is ok!

The storm's still raging away here, but no damage to speak of, and the power hasn't even flickered, despite all the snow. No ice or freezing rain with this one, and that's what caused all the horrific damage and downed trees in the blizzard year before last. Even tho we have nearly thirty inches now, it's fairly light stuff (been shoveling on and off all day, so I'm an authority on it at this point...). Parts of our area, the Cape, and apparently all of Nantucket lost power, and good luck getting through the deep snow to fix the lines, but at least so far, we're fine.

Glad you are, too!

Does not sound fun at all. Things ran very smoothly here. They closed all major roads and mass transit last night so clean up went well. We were lucky that it was lite snow, the heavy snow does the damage. Hope it ends soon for you so you don't have to shovel anymore!!
They did say more snow here on Friday and next week... just hoping they get that wrong too!

Be safe Randy.....

I love the look of the snow on your front lawn and the tree. I haven't seen that much snow on the ground since I stopped skiing many moons ago. Although snow makes everything look so beautiful it's too darned cold. Stay warm, and have a hot toddy for my! :-P

Hope you've got your thermals on!! Great shots Angela, pleased you shovelled your way through to feed the birdies, they are always my number one priority here. Keep safe and warm and keep snapping! :-)

 Thanks for the views Angela! I'm from eastern L.I. and don't miss shoveling snow but do miss taking pictures after a huge storm.

Ah, yes, just another reminder of why I came back home to Tennessee. We sold our snow blower , gave away our heavy coats and headed south!

It is supposed to be in the 70's today here, in Kansas City. I suppose the people in Buffalo are laughing.
