Here a few shots of the snow I woke up to this morning. As you can see by the ruler, it was about 20 inches on level areas, drifts were much more. But at least we didn't get the 3 feet they were predicting!!

Wow...just plain amazing images Angela. We've been watching coverage on TV. Long Island got hit pretty hard. Glad to know your safe and with electricity. Hang in there, it may take some time to melt. Any one for "Snow cones"? You could serve up a mess of em.

You have documented this storm very well. Your photos are very good considering the situation and subject. You also seem to have a sense of humor about it all which will surely help.

LOL.. that's a great idea James about the snow cones!! I can set up a table at the end of my driveway!! hahahaaa...
...as far as melting, that won't happen any time soon, more snow predicted for Friday and some next week.
It's winter, and this is what happens, we've been very lucky this far!

LOL.... thanks Cwilson, as I see your viewing from sunny Florida!!
We are used to this and have been very lucky this year, this is the first storm of the season.
...and you gotta laugh and have fun!!

And here I felt down today because we were in day 3 of heavy fog :| Thanks for the reminder of why I stayed in the northwest after the family left!

btw, you're supposed to pahhk your cahh IN the garage, not in front of it :)

Hahahaaaaa...... you should only see what's in our garage!!
Took us three hours to plow our way out and clean everything up! Well I'm glad I reminded you of why you moved!!
I can't leave LI, my family is all here, so we'll dig when we have to!

Thanks for visiting Jan and glad you enjoyed! I can't complain, this is the first major snow we've had this year, and we've dealt with worse. It will just be hanging around for quite sometime....

Here in Pa we were expecting to wake up to a foot to 16 inches. We got 3, thats still too much for me.

Wow!! I'll take those 3 inches!!
Weather men are never right, they said we were going to get 3 feet, glad they were wrong... again!!
