I use the Jobu Design Jr. Gimbal head on a manfroto tripod with the D90 and 120-400 also. With the grip attached it may limit the upward tilt.

It is smaller and lighter than a full size head but is silky smooth. I also use it with the D3 and D800 with a grip attached without problems.
I like it so much I dont use any other head anymore. I even use it on
my Macro setup with a focusing rail, as seen in the photos, I removed my focusing rail to show your camera/lens on this mount. Please note that I have changed the wedge camera mount on this gimbal to a longer one for other applications. The stock one actually works better for this camera/lens combo.

I concur with the above. An Excellent Gimbal head at a good price point.

Here's one, I don't know if it's any good but the price caught my interest

Yes, the price appears nice.
But it isn't worth the price.

You won't go wrong with the Nest.

I have a Nikon D90 with a Sigma 120-400 lens. I like to do Birds in Flight and wildlife. I would like some suggestions on Gimbal heads.
I would like a light one. I have a Induro tripod. Thanks You! Michelle

Most birders I know will handhold that lens. You'll find that any tripod mounted lens can be a pain as you try and move around the pivot point as the bird flies all around.

That being said, the Nest Gimbal - seems to get a lot of buzz - though I have not seen any independent reviews or comparisons on it yet, nor have I had one in my hands to evaluate.

Just get in touch with Carter @ The Camera Cottage. He can fix you up in no time. There is only one independent review that counts, your own!

I am actually fine with what I use. But I often get asked about the Nest and others - and I would like to provide an informed opinion.
