Hang in there, you are doing better than many(photography wise) who are much more mobile.
I love the eagle shot. The flower is nice, but it would benefit from a shallow depth of field to make the flower stand out better from the background.
The rodeo photos would have benefited from being closer to the arena.

Yeah, if you got four-on-the-floor, you could get some interesting close ups.

I really like the Eagle. I will not make any negative comments about any of your shots. I will say; keep on clicking and take whatever type of shots that you want to. Glad to see that you are getting out there Deeheat. There are always those that can do it better and that is mainly because they do it over and over again on a daily basis!

The eagle was in a tree right across the street from me. My landlord is pretty observant, and he says in the seventeen years he has owned this property he has seen an eagle only once before, and that was a week or so before I moved in LOL.
As for the rodeo shots....I agree, a different angle would have been FAR better. I was stuck at the top of Ford arena in Beaumont and using a 70X300 mm. lens. I learned later that there actually was a place on the floor that I could have shot from, but not having seen it yet, I don't know if it would actually have been better or not. I'm going to find out before the next event I shoot there.
Oh, and here's my wheelchair. You'd be amazed at how many pics I have of people shooting pics of me as I shoot pics LMBO!

I have a question of how you get pictures. My question is, do you mount a monopod to your wheelchair? I am asking because in 10 years or so, I might be using a wheelchair and I have thoughts about about having a monopod on the chair to help with camera control.
I don't, and movement can be a real issue with this chair...there always has to be a down side, right?....because it has three gryos and three computers and it "dithers" (their term) to adjust for the slightest amount of movement. Basically, when it is in balance mode it is never completely still. However, you can use a dowel with a short piece of threaded rod to match the mount on your camera and make a monopod of whatever length you need, mount that on a piece of 2X long enough to lay across the arms of the wheelchair, and be right in business. You could even cannibalize a tripod and mount the entire mount head from it on a dowel if you wanted to give you a bit more flexibility than a simple monopod.
I think if you mount something permanently you are going to find that it becomes more of a hindrance than it is worth because there is very little room to spare on a power chair and anything extra tends to become an annoyance at best and a real liability at worst. If it is wider than the chair even by an inch or two it may be a severe hindrance in navigating doorways, etc., and if it is inside the armrest span you end up banging your arm with it constantly. Clamps don't generally work well because the armrests are padded.

Nice pic's Ms. Dee, you done good! I like the Bronko Riding shot, those horses can really kick up their heels.
I can almost feel my teeth click together just from looking it it.
Photography is a great hobbie for people who are forced to use wheelchairs. My Mom loved to go on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City and snap away at all the sights.
P.S. That wheelchair looks like you can take it onto the street. Are you out there popping wheelies when no one is watching? ... ; )
Thanks LOL! I do what I can, I enjoy the heck out of it, and I do make a bit of money at it as well...not a lot, but enough to cover wear and tear on my equipment, gas and other expenses, and a bit more. From my POV, that's not too bad. I also have a lot of fun right out my door watching what the neighbors call my feathered children. Here are a few of them. The third is clearly vultures LOL....not my favorite bird but they do serve their purposes. That's the first time I've seen that many at once where they aren't roosting.
Dee..that remends me of the song; "I was looking back to see if you were looking back to see if I was looking back to see while driving my old Model T. It is plain as it can be driving my old Model T, that you like looking back at me!"
Or something like that.
Keep on clicking and I will keep on looking back to see.
Buddy 36 :-D
I REMEMBER that song!!!! Of course, I also remember riding in a rumble seat as a very young child and being told, "If you don't turn around and sit down I am going to beat you like a redheaded stepchild!"
