I just can't find the AF-S 50mm f1.8G lens....no one has it....all sellers has it on back order....I did get the Filter for it allready.....O'Well....just keep waiting I guess gezzzzz :)

If I were you, I would call B&H to see if you can reserve one at the price listed now of 216.95. When I bought this lens from B&H in Jan. most dealers were at that price point including Cameta Camera. Just checked there website and it's now at 299.00.

Sorry, I searched the 50 there and that popped up apparently because the 50 was out of stock, didn't even double check. Its a good little known source though.

Many nikon made lenses are back ordered, I was looking at two FX lenses to purchase as I intend to switch to the FX format...

The absence of those lenses has made me revise a pre order I was going to pass for the D800e. I have no idea why that is but frankly in the end it may make me switch brand altogether as it is a full reinvestment to switch.

When I was looking for my 50mm 1.8 (Canon) it took 3 months for my local camera shop to get it in stock, the nifty-fifies are always in high demand, because of the price point (especially for Canon since are priced at $100).

I'm actually thinking of selling mine and moving up to the 50 1.4.
