I just received my D7100 on Wednesday and I have been starting to learn about it's operation and I have a question about the Control panel. I have the battery charged, and 2 SanDisk Extreme 16GB cards installed and formatted. I was trying out various adjustments and when I shut the camera off I expected the Control panel to go blank. When I shut it off, on the right side it still displays that the two cards are installed and under it it shows the number of pictures that can still be taken as a number enclosed in brackets like this [xxx]. The top card indicator has a 1 displayed inside it which I assume is showing which card is being used. Should this still show when you switch the camera "off" or should it be completely blank when off? I just wanted to know if this is normal, since I just got it, or if I should be concerned and contact B&H about it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
