Got one love it, and you will too. Take a look at David Busch's instruction book. Worth every penny after spending a few on that new camera.

The Busch camera books are a great and easy read. Large print and many spot-on illustrations you will need to get the most out of your camera WHEN YOU WANT IT. Topics are specific and to the point. This gent knows how to write.

I love mine also..You should enjoy using it. I have a book by Darrell Young titled "Mastering the Nikon D7100" from NikoniansPress. Don't know how it compares to the other book mentioned but you might check it out. I also have a video tutorial by Michael Andrew named "D7100 Crash Course". It has some basic info on Photography in the beginning but then gets into most of the menus pretty deeply.

Thanks, I'll check on it on Amazon to see if it might be available there.

I have Nikon D7000 and a Nikon D5300. The Busch manuals are great I stay away from the Field Guide.

Back in July I sought advice here about where to buy a new camera and have followed advice given on which cameras would make be a good choice for people asking. I am very happy to say I finally ordered a Nikon D7100 from B&H Photo and received an email saying it shipped and is on its way. It should fill all my needs for a good while and I can hardly wait to get started working with it. So thanks again for all the great advice and help.
