Yes, this is due to the compression that takes place when resizing. If a picture is dark, it will appear darker, if it is light it will appear lighter. If normal, few changes, if a simple logo, no change.

And now we see Elmo!!! (or his cousin)

By the way, any change you make to your profile or signature is reflected in all your past posts.

I too have only been on here for a short time and I have also noticed that there are 2-3 people on here that have nothing but negative comments and a lot of things that they have posted are not that great to me . In UHH it recommends that such negative comments are best kept to yourself. I applaud you for your comments. Most of us joined UHH to try and learn and get better but many of the comments are not CC and have nothing to do with helping people overcome their weaknesses. I appreciate any helpfull comments about how to improve my shots but don't need any of the idiotic reteric that has nothing to do with with how to improve our photography.
