The Avatar I created in PS looks nothing like the updated one in my profile ??

Just checking the difference. Can anyone give an explanation they are both the same file. Oh well I'm gonna shot a yellow rose.

I think if you shrink the original down to the size of your avatar it will appear dark also. Just my guess is that you have fewer pixels in the avatar and because the photo has a lot of dark in it it makes the smaller version seem darker.
Now we will wait and see if anyone else has a better theory.

It is a straight reduction that keeps the original dark image.

There ya go. An answer. And I guess on the wrong forum? Still don't know what we are doing wrong and I read the rules. Guess I am to old. Will find another forum to go to that is simpler. Like me.

I just don't worry about it Erv. The rules confuse me here also, but I love most of the people.

First the two images are from the same file both 600px by 600px Wolf seems to think they look they same on my monitor the larger one is much brighter in the head area which was my intention in PP. On my monitor the Avatar looks about 1/3 to 1/2 stop darker. maybe nothing to do about it?

Damn Wolf what is it with you I have read almost all of your recent posts and I would say, even though I am new to the UHH that I am thinking that this is about time that you back off and help in stead of criticize all of the time. Not all of us sleep with our cameras and have a towel to wipe it clean after a shower, I came to this forum to learn either a little or a lot but never the less I am learning from those that are willing to take the time to reach out and give freely of their time and their thoughts. If you are really worried about how others work may look I would say that you start to post a little bit of your work so that we may post our thoughts on it either good or bad.
