I am saving my pennies for a full frame camera. Currently using a D7100 mostly with the Tamron 150-600 for general wildlife with the emphasis on birds. Happy with this set up but want to add a full frame to my bag.

I know I will need new glass since all I have is DX except for the Tamron. What gets the nod between the 610 (great price right now), the 750 and the 810. Looking for good low light/low noise combo. I think the new rig will be mostly for landscapes. What first lens would you recommend to go with the camera?

Thanks for any and all thoughts!

I think for the price, the D750 can't be beat, it is one of the best cameras that Nikon has ever produced. Low light capability is awesome, so is the AF system, it's 24 MP full frame (not much behind the 810). I'm a Canon shooter, but I'm really intrigued by the D 750 - if I had to choose, that's what I would buy!

I'm a Canon guy my self but reading the test reports and the price of the D750, I was very impressed. Your the only one here that seems to agree.

Thanks for all the responses. Great information. Leaning toward the D610 but still can't quite decide. Head (wallet) says D610, heart says maybe wait, save a little longer and get the D750. As I said in an earlier post, I hate to outgrow a piece of equipment. I usually don't have this much trouble making a decision!

Saleavitt it's your decision and budget. Just don't be in a hurry and be sorry. Take a deep breath and think hard about what you really want. The wait may be worth it. Good luck on your future purchase.

Nope. I'm a canon guy and i'm seriously considering moving to a D750. I just need to get a good buy on one.

Of course the perfect combo for me would be a 7D2 and the D810. *sigh

D810 with 24-70. Good combination for landscape. Then you can expand from there.
