Really wonderful images. You have captured the essence and made us all hungry. These are full-page magazine/billboard quality photos and I for one am in awe of your genius.

You know, what I don't get is how good these things look in these pics and then when you go get 'em they look like someone has been sitting on them for an hour or so and they look nothing like these. What's up with that?

you are too funny

Only photographed food twice..... but it is fun. I usualy need a step ladder (as I'm 5'3") to be able to get a shot from above or put the food on the floor. Isn't it funny the extent we are willing to go through to get "The Shot" I love photography !!!!

The great thing with photographing food is that 1. You dont have to make it smile 2. It doesn't run away or fidgit
3. When you've got the shot how you want it, you can eat your model!! In a portrait studio you would be an instant canniball.

At a recent headhunters convention, one of the canniballs said to the chief "Can I be rude about your wife" The head headhunter replied sure you can " The canniball said "I cant stand your wife " to which the head replied "No problem, push her to the side of the plate and eat the vegatables.
The great thing with photographing food is that 1.... (show quote)

I think the thing you ought to concern yourself most with is that you get it. Most of my attempts at humor only seem to aggravate people, which, of course, only encourages me. :)

Well, I'm the happy recipient of their encouragement!

Looks really good - good stuff, good shots. That wasn't what I had in mind for breakfast but then you are back east and it's nearly lunch time. I'd do that for lunch, well, maybe not the broccoli. And don't worry about being short. That's alright. I've been draggin' a step stool around with me all my life. One night, while playing basketball, just after I drove into "the lane" and made a "lay-up" over a guy's head, on the way back down the court he, trotting beside me said, "hey dude, don't try that again or I'll stuff it down your throat. You're way too short to get away with that again. In fact, you're so short, I bet every time you break wind, (fart for some of you) you blow dirt in your shoes." Of course, I couldn't play worth nuthin' the rest of the night. I'm still laughing many years out.

Thanks. I appreciate that. I would be less than honest if I didn't admit that it has, on occasion, got me into a lot of trouble, and yet, it's like the tides, it just keeps on a-comin'. :-)

Just saw your mention of Wimpy Burgers, they really should have been called carpet underlay hamburgers. They were pretty grusome but it was fun to go to the Wimy Bar with your date.

I am to young, I think 67 is too young for lots of things!!!

I would certainly agree. So is 75. :) I saw you were working on a studio in Little Rock. How did you find Arkansas and what attracted you there, my home state? I've been wondering. Thought maybe you were passing through and maybe you ran out of petrol. What about those "White Castle" burgers right off main street. Are they still there? They were a moral equivalent of Wimpy in my book.
