Hi Everyone, I am looking for the best priced website provider. I have checked into a few and it's hard to know which is best. I had decided on GoDaddy.com but just clicking on the option (the premium package) and I found myself having additional chargers and I thought I was getting the one that offered everything for a certain price.

Does anyone use GoDaddy? I sure could use some help with this, any and all advise is welcomed!!!

Thanks, Susan

I've had a site from Bludomain for my wedding/portrait business for about 5 years now (it's pretty rudimentary - clients can't have individual galleries of their photos or order from the site so I'm thinking of upgrading). They have a good number of templates from which to choose so maybe they'll offer some that appeal to you visually and are in your price range. (Check out mine at www.psmithphoto.com for an example of one of the simpler, less expensive designs). Good luck!

If you are looking for a site where you can sell your images along with framing, mounting and other options, you might want to check out zenfolio.com..Your customers can order whatever "product" you want to put on your product list and pay with pay pal or debit/credit cards. You also have complete control of your profit margin. I chose mpix as my partner lab for my site...the quality and integrity is over the top. I have been very pleased.

I think that most are about the same. I use Hawk Host.
I used to use Smug Mug, but I write my own HTML/CSS, and prefer to build my web pages with one finger on each hand. With Smug Mud, the way I like my web pages to look I had to type a very long code to display each individual image, or you can type a URL directly to your Smug Mug account album.
Anyway, it's Chevys vs Fords as far as web hosts go. Most offer about the same for the same price.
Good luck.

Arnold,
I went to your website. What incredible photographs you have posted there! Wow It inspires me to try to be a better photographer but you set a high mark. What kind of equipment are you using for the excellent bird in flight photos?

I use GoDaddy and have found no issues with their offering. I have the basic package of both Windows and Linux servers and have found their reliability and support to be good. I use the Linux side to host our Camera Club website where our members upload their images for our bi-monthly competitions.

Please try FAA site. They will allow you to upload your
photos and will make them into gallery canvasses and even greeting cards at no cost to you. They do all the work
and even billing the customer and will send you a check
for your amount of commissions that you elect to charge.
It is free! It works.. See my site;

You can also go to the site and look for more info on joining. You use their site so you don't really need to
purchase a web domain. If you want a seperate domain it
is $30 a year. Any questions email me. My email in on my site. Patrick Raffaelo

I know it might be tempting to use GoDaddy especially given one of the spokespersons in the Go Daddy Ads. I use Zenfolio, the offer a free trial, a $25 entry level, and a $100 level. You can select the option that fits you budget. You can elect to have you clients or customers purchase photos on the website and select the option of whether you had rather fulfill the order or have a one of their fulfillment providers, hint MPIX print your photos

I didn't either, but I went on the internet and learned HTML/CSS.Now I do all of the coding on my web site. It is very simple, but that's all I want.
I've never used Go Daddy, but is one of the most popular hosts available. I tried several, and ended up with Hawk Host.

Thanks to everyone for the information about website providers. I am going to check into each and every one to see what ones have what I am looking for.

I did go to each of your websites and all I can say is OMG! You all have such awesome photographs on your sites!

And that flamingo is beautiful!

Thanks again everyone, I really appreciate all your help in this matter.

Susan
