Just down the street from the Chateau Frontenac there is a large tree about 8 feet from the roadway beside a building, you notice the tree because you think it is a silly place for a tree. Look at the base of the tree and you will see a large cannonball in the trunk with the roots and trunk having grown around it. I think it deserves a picture. The suggestion for the Chateau Frontenac at night is a good idea as is a walk outside the old city to Grand Allee, the lights at night there are very good right now. I was there last weekend and everything is decorated for Halloween. The other suggestion for a day to to St Anne de Beaupre Cathedral is really good as well. I think if you day trip to St Anne's you will also be able to see Montmorency Falls good for a few pictures. The fort in Quebec City is beautiful and interesting. Built by the British with many gun placements pointing toward the land and not the river. It was built to protect against an uprising of the French inhabitants not really an attack from the river.

and the street with the artists is "rue du tresor"

have fun, I didn't have my camera with me for a variety of reasons, but it was still fun, would like to see a picture of the cannonball though, lol

QC has great shots along streets in the old section. The architecture is interesting. It wasn't clear if you have ever gone further south from Peggy's Cove. I recommend that. Lots of good photo opportunities along that coastal road through various little fishing villages all the way down to Lunenberg. That's a full day's trip down and back to Halifax.

The Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick is eye popping. There is something about walking on the sea floor during low tide and seeing the flower pots become islands at high tide.
