Quebec City, PEI and Halifax
We'll be traveling to these very soon. Suggestions for good shots would be welcomed. Several days in QC but daytime only at PEI and Halifax. I have shot at Peggy's Cove before but will probably make that again. I have never been to the other sites. Thank you for any advice you may offer.

In Halifax be sure to get up to the Fort and see the Tattoo in full dress uniform and the firing of, I think, the one o'clock gun. in PEI landscapes/seascapes all around and great old homes.
If you can get in touch with a UHH member who goes by roadrunner he lives there and knows everything!
If you have time after going to Peggy's Cove, head a bit further south to the village of Lunenburg. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Designated town, and hopefully the Bluenose II will be in port for some historic photo opportunities. The Bluenose is engraved on Canadian 10 cent coins. Also, colourful clapboard housing also presents many photo ops.

Make sure you shoot the Fairmont (Le Chataeu Fontenac) at night. You might want to visit the Montmorency Falls, which is nearby. You will enjoy shooting at the shopping areas, the buildings have different colors which is great. You will enjoy QC.
Halifax also has a great old cemetery dating back to the 1700's which has a monument and graves to many passengers of the Titanic.
Its a shame you only have a day on PEI, it's a very pretty island and deserves alot more than a day. Charlottetown i s the capital and has some wonderful old buildings. It's where our Confederation as a country took place.

If you have access to a vehicle I would probably get out of the city and head towards St.Margerets Bay. Or head down 103 to Lunenberg. After doing Lunenberg, (if you want a great place for a pano of the town go to the golf gourse)take a side trip towards Blue Rock. On this road take the side road's on the shore side and you will be pleasantly supprised.
That's just my oppinion ,but I 'm not a city person. Nice for the history and such ,just to hectic for this country boy.Give me the shore anytime.By the way my avatar was shot in a harbor around Blue Rock

Go to Truro north of Haifax and see the tidal bore.
Last time I was in Q.City, there were artists in one of the downtown alleys during the day. Some great opportunities showing human nature.
Thank all you UHHers for some great suggestions, as usual! Now to the maps to see what I can do. If it is rainy in Halifax, might be some good shots to be had at the Titanic cemetery. I have come to really love Canada and Canadians.

That sounds like the trip I was going to take a few weeks ago, boarding a ship in Boston and ending in Quebec. Unfortunately the ship broke a propeller and the cruise was cancelled. Maybe I'll try again next year.

What cruise lines was that? We are on RCI Legend of the Seas.
We just made the trip on Holland America. Great trip except for Sydney, NS. Not much there except for a giant fiddle. In Quebec City if you like old Churches, visit St. Annes Basilica. It is magnificent. I don't think I have ever seen anything to compare.
