Do you Brits use the word "hire" the way we Americans use "rent"?
(you give the owner money and s/he allows you to use it for a period of time)

I have been saving to buy a new camera. Renting one would have just eaten up half the amount that I would need to have to buy the one I did. I just borrowed from myself to make up the difference and will pay myself back in a month or so, and now I have a camera that will do what I want in other low light situations. It wasn't 100% about the trip, though the trip did give me the push to finally take the leap.
Smart lady. :D

I am finally ready to buy that new camera I have been talking about for over a year. NOTHING should get in the way this time. MT Shooter recommended the D7000 a year ago. I can find the bodies around $600.00
I need to keep it under $1,000. I want live view and video options. Something that does will under low light conditions with minimal noise.

Mama, I would certainly take MTSHOOTER up on his offer.
I love my D7100 both for stills and videos. I have posted lowlight shots here on the Forum and more with videos on my Zenfolio sight.

Good luck and enjoy your new camera, whichever you choose.
