I just can't stop myself!
Weird things happening. Having trouble uploading photos. Bear with me.
I love #1. Very beautiful.

Thank you, Angela. Glad you like! There's always a photo bomber. Must be a teenage fly.
OK, now where did you find 2 and 3, Sherry? I didn't see those. Glad you got these uploaded. These are lovely shots, and I never would have seen the little bug on #1 if Angela hadn't called attention to it, which probably explains why I didn't see those flowers when I was at the bog. :-D

Thank you, Donna. You're always so kind.
#2 was on the hilltop at the East entrance. When the trail made its first sudden turn left, I kept going straight. Did you do something silly like follow the beaten path? This shot is at 1:1. And hand held. I really had to teeter with the wind on this one! The only cropping I did was to square it up.
#3 was 6'4" inside the gate at the West entrance, sitting all the way down on the ground. You probably hadn't started looking yet, had you. I hadn't. I shot it on my way out.
I just want to get back out and shoot, shoot, shoot while the weather is so wonderful. I cleaned out a lot of fence row today so I could earn another reward! Except now, I may be too achy to pick up a camera.
I did pretty much follow the path, Sherry, just venturing off every now and then to chase unfriendly butterflies. I thought #3 looked like the bloom of a wild potato vine, and it being close to the ground confirms what I thought. They have huge, potato-looking things for roots. You've probably seen them.

Thanks for the ID. I've never heard of a wild potato vine. I googled, and it is that beyond question. I read that it is also called Big-Rooted Morning Glory. Hubby told me he thought it was a morning glory, but I said it was open and it wasn't morning!

Great set Sherry, but I love 1 and 3
Sherry, are #1 and #4 from the same type plant? Those apparently are called False Foxglove according to the wildflower sources online. I think your hubby is partially correct about the morning glory. They're all in the same family of plants, so give him a gold star for good observation. :-D I'm having a big time looking up these things, but some have me stumped.

Yes, Donna, #1 and #4 are from the same type plant -- also the same as the "buds" post. Thanks for another ID. It is so wonderful to have you to do this research. I wouldn't even know where to start looking!

Thanks for dropping in and for your kind comment, infocus. I really enjoyed my day in the wildflower field!
