Be(e) carefull...

They have a nasty habit of going into ears... NOT a good thing !!!

Amazing shot, its very apparent they are the gentle type bee versus the very aggressive Africanized type. Somewhere close to you there is a nice hive being replenished for the winter months. :thumbup:

I tend to agree with you there about the bees and a hive being near by.
But where, is the question..

Well here is a link to give some insight into tracking wild bees. I did this as a young lad in south Louisiana and actually tracked bees back to their hive in a big ole oak tree in the swamp. To help keep sight of them, mix up some water and flour paste and dab the bees using a long straw or other object that won't harm them. It really works. It's good to see so many bees,the farmers and beekeepers over here have been really worried due to the lack of them.

i also did not think we had this many here. i only have seen a few in the garden when the flowers had bloomed and then none.
