My Epson Printer just died from paper jam errors - and there was no paper jam. Looking for a replacement - not the highest priced. Always have been very pleased with Epson but just don't know what model to look at. Any suggestions?

You may wish to consider taking your printer in for service at an authorized Epson service-and-repair facility.

Considering you checked the path,..What model Epson printer and how old is it? What is your budget for a new one and what size prints do you normally do?

It's difficult to break and Epson in my experience over 25 years. You might have a professional check it out. Good luck.

If you can get a compressed air can it is worth blowing through the paper feed and the sensor. Without knowing the Epson model it is not possible to be more specific. We frequently see paper errors when using low quality paper which produces a lot of debris; a good squirt over the feed area usually deals with the problem.

I have used the Epson Stylus Photo1400 for five years with no problems. I am a serious hobbyist and print my own work for sale so it is used heavily. I'm not sure this model is still available and dread the day I will have to get another printer because this one is so very reliable.

I've just bought and installed a new Epson 3620. The install was easy and the air print feature works great. Satisfied with the print quality.

I bought an Epson R3000 a couple of months ago and am very pleased. It's about $ 600 with tithe rebate. I've heard the R2000 is nice as we'll and a bit cheaper. If you do a lot of printing, the 3880 might be a better choice as the ink will cost you less per print, but that one is about $ 1100.

I'm very pleased with the Epson 3880. Using Epson papers, its color management is top notch.

I recently bought an HP 7610 printer to replace my old Kodak one and boy, is it troublesome. The bloody thing has a mind of its own. I'll never touch another HP. Wish I could get my money back and buy an Epson or Canon!!

It is the Epson Artisan 730 and I've been very happy with the color prints it produces. Good for what I've wanted and better than a lot of what I've seen from others. I rarely need anything larger than the 8.5 x 11 size. I saw recommendations on this forum for Epson 3800 but that's a little more than I'd like to spend right now. Thanks for any suggestions you can offer.
