No do not save in PS but under Filters open the Topaz Filter you want to use

when I have photo open in PS 2014 and go to filters/any topaz plug-in, I get a "C++ error" only when I use a photo from my D800 but not my D3200!!! I shoot raw in both and JPEG have used the raw converted to TIFF and to JPEG and is still the same, also have taken the JPEG from both cameras and get the same result

Something is wrong. Is Topaz showing as an option under Photoshop Filters? What Topaz filters are you using? If you haven't reinstalled Topaz since you installed this version of Photoshop, you should. All the plugins had to be reinstalled over the new version. If you don't get the answer in this thread, try posting it in the PP section too, and do contact Topaz. They have decent tech support.

I have ALL there plug-ins, I did remove and reinstall { after installing pscc 2014} ALL topaz {as stated in OP} and have been in contact with topaz support {as stated in OP}
I even sent them one of the photos from my D800 that would not work with topaz, he stated he had no problem, but I had to reduce the file size to 25mb {from 75mb} to send to him {I use aol 25mbs max}

Topaz does cause some hiccups here and there when I am trying to return to LR.

I reposting this with a new title,

i have had topaz for about 9 to 12 months, had played with it a bunch of times with photos out of my D 3200 and have not had any problems, it worked fine., I finally am starting to use my D800 and process photos other than PS 2014, I take my "raw" photo open in "ACR" tweak it, then "open image" to PS 2014, will then do more processing or save, when i am done i save image to my {lets just say "my pictures"}, a JPEG or a TIFF, i close out PS, open topaz then find my photo, it will open in topazFXlabs, but when i try to open with a plug-in/filter my computer either 1)- box comes up saying window has encountered a problem and need to shut down and computer locks up, and i need to do
"Ctrl/Alt/delete" to FINALLY get my laptop working again!! or the program will just up and disappear!!
i took my photo and reduced the size from 75mb's to 35 mb's and now topaz seems to be working just fine with the smaller file!!
i have 114gb free space on a 250gb hard drive!!
any one else run across this problem?
i have been conversing with topaz support , but they don't seem to know!! you know the same ol' thing, remove it and reinstall ,which i did, same problem!!

Post in the post processing section...

You are really dealing with a limitation of the program, nothing else.

Sounding like a memory issue - if you can reduce the file size and all works well, it may be the amount of free ram you have for Topaz to work with the file...

Are you 64 bit or 32 bit?

?

The reference to PP section is legitimate as folks there use topaz all the time and are the best source for information. If giving this information is wrong for you so be it.

As to you being already subscribed there... How should I know that? Especially if you answer is:

So, yeah, next time I will not bother with you.

Ah, oh, is 'teaching you how to fish' what offended your sensibilities? Well, you need to learn because you did not even realize you had caught a 'big one' when subscribing to that section.

Being a 32 bit system, you are stuck at 4 GB max, regardless of how much you have plugged in, so it is entirely possible that you are hitting a memory wall. Any way you can keep an eye on how much ram you have free during your processing steps? It may show that Topaz, processing the large files with other apps running is fighting for more ram?

This is a just a guess as smaller files seem to work right?
