Apparently many atheists care or their organization would not have brought it up. There is always somebody claiming someone else is getting more of something or that they are being left out. It is usually left up to 12 year old kids but apparently not in this case.

I wouldn't walk across the street for any discount at a pizza joint! LOL

Well good for you, actually I wouldn't either, I can make almost anything served in a restaurant much better than I can order it out.

I am in the middle of a batch of green chili right now. My son and I drove into Springfield Friday and I went to the Latin market and bought some cans of Green Chilis. It is gonna be a good batch, Jalapenos roasted and frozen from last year and pork from the pigs I raised last year. Yes gastronomically I am gonna pay, but it is worth it.

My Dad used to raise pigs, and at other times he had cattle. OMG, was that fun! I remember when the cattle got out, makes my head spin to think about it. LOL

My cattle are a pretty rough bunch, they come by name and after my grand children visited, I went through 100 pounds of haycubes in 4 days, the cattle see little people, they come running.

Not as often as I want, and most important, not near as often as my cattle would like to see them. Little people show up and you would see a stampede.

You slaughter the cattle, don't you? If they know them by name, they're going to miss them when they're gone or has someone explained this to the little ones?

Yes, we slaughter the one steer each year. I do miss them, however they have the best life I can give then for as long as they are here. 40 acres of farm to roam, clean water, good feed, and a treat each day.

Sounds like the life, I know farming is hard work, we weren't brought up on a farm but I've known farming all my life because Dad had cattle and pigs on farmland we worked when kids. I'll bet you have a big garden?

Not for the past 2 years because we purchased a repo home in town and I have spent the last 20 months overhauling it. Now we are ready to rent it. I really don't care, but my wife is convinced that there will come a time when this little farm will be too much for me and we will need to move into town.
As far as I am concerned, I would rather die in the field than live in town, I guess we will see.

Spoken like a true farmer...your wife is right though. Look for a ranch house, one story out in the semi-country.

I thought you were going to say deer meat, Mike. Mom told us years later after we all moved out that we'd been eating deer meat in bad winters when Dad's company was just starting out.
